All About Me
Hello,
My name is Janette and I was born and raised here in Phoenix, AZ, I am the seventh grade Math and Science teacher here at NWEC. This is my fifth year as a teacher at New World and I am looking forward to seeing our wonderful returning students and meeting our new ones.
I graduated from Metro Tech High School in 2009 where I also received my Nursing Certification. I have my Associates degree in Banking and Financing since 2014 from Phoenix College. I received my Bachelor's in Education from University of Phoenix and I received my Masters from GCU.
I am a mother of two wonderful children. I enjoy traveling and love outdoor activities, I believe education is very important and encourage everyone to pursue it. Knowledge is power and no one can take that away.

Students are expected to participate during class time. Notes will be taken often, homework is assigned Monday and Tuesday.
Students are expected to compete the homework that is assigned. I do not use red pen for grading, instead we use highlighters. Students will highlight their mistakes and will be able to take it home to correct. Homework is due on Thursday after their quiz is complete. Students are allowed to use their notes and homework for their quizzes.
If your child is absent, it is their responsibility to make up their missed work.
If you will be going on vacation during school days please let us know with a week advance so we can have work ready for your child.
There is no extra credit provided unless students participate in our school events.
